Immunity Machine® is Austin Air's most complete air purifier, designed for those seeking maximum filtration against particulate matter, gases and chemical compounds and for people with heightened immune vulnerability. Eight filtration stages combine pre-filters, medical-grade HEPA, up to 6.8 kg of coconut shell activated carbon and zeolite (the carbon partly impregnated with potassium iodide, the zeolite with a proprietary impregnation) and HEGA cloth. Thanks to the 360° intake, air passes slowly through the carbon layer surrounding the HEPA: a longer contact time favours adsorption. Zero ozone, zero ionization, filters lasting up to 5 years.

Maintenance, spares and what's in the box

  • Filter: up to 5 years in typical home use; in heavily contaminated environments it may need replacing sooner.
  • Pre-filter: vacuum it once a month without removing it, using the soft brush attachment (more often with pets).
  • Placement: on the floor, at least 10 cm from walls, with the top grille unobstructed. On first start-up, run it on high for a few hours.
  • 2-year legal warranty (24 months) under the Italian Consumer Code.
  • 3-year commercial mechanical warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, automatic from delivery: product registration is not a condition, it is a recommended service. Details on the Legal, commercial and service warranty page.
  • The mechanical warranty does not cover filters. Defects resulting from the use of non-original spares are not covered, and the commercial extension to 36 months requires the use of original Austin Air spares.

Right of Withdrawal Notice: As this is an air purifier, the consumer is entitled to a brief functional test (power-on and control verification). Prolonged use causes immediate contamination of the filters with particles, allergens and pollutants: in that case the customer is responsible for the diminution in value of the goods (Art. 57, paragraph 2, Consumer Code) and the refund is reduced accordingly. Filters purchased separately cannot be returned if opened or if the original seal has been removed (Art. 59). Full details here.

Frequently asked questions

Immunity, HealthMate Plus or Bedroom Machine?
All three contain the same amount of activated carbon and zeolite, up to 6.8 kg: what changes is the type of media. The HealthMate Plus has part of its carbon impregnated with potassium iodide, more effective on formaldehyde and chemicals; the Bedroom Machine adds HEGA cloth, without impregnated media; the Immunity Machine combines both, plus a mineral with a proprietary impregnation for nitrogen-based gases such as NO₂. It is the choice for those seeking the most complete filtration.
Is it suitable for new-build off-gassing?
Yes. The combination of carbon/mineral filtration and impregnated media helps reduce VOCs and by-products of paints, adhesives, furniture, and finishes typical of new builds and renovations.
Does it generate ozone or use ionization?
No. It uses purely mechanical filtration (HEPA + adsorbent media), with no ozone or ionizers.
Does it protect against wildfire smoke and smog?
Yes. The granular mix (carbon and minerals, including impregnated variants) is designed to reduce compounds typical of smoke and smog (e.g. formaldehyde, acrolein, NO2), while the medical-grade HEPA captures fine and ultrafine particulate.
