HealthMate Plus Junior® is the compact version of the HealthMate Plus, for rooms up to 40 m² with strong odors, smoke, formaldehyde and VOCs. The filter pack combines pre-filters, about 2.8 m² of medical-grade HEPA and up to 2.7 kg of coconut shell activated carbon and zeolite, with part of the carbon impregnated with potassium iodide. Thanks to the 360° intake, air passes slowly through the carbon layer surrounding the HEPA: a longer contact time favours adsorption. Steel housing, no ozone, continuous 24/7 use and filters lasting up to 5 years.

Note for people with MCS: HealthMate Plus Junior® uses potassium iodide-impregnated carbon (KI). It is also used regularly by a growing number of people with MCS; for those who prefer non-impregnated media, the alternative is the HealthMate Junior®, with non-impregnated activated carbon and zeolite. In the standard format, the non-impregnated options are the HealthMate and the Bedroom Machine.

  1. Large-particle pre-filter: coarse dust, hair, fibers.
  2. Medium-particle pre-filter: fine dust, mold, spores and pollen.
  3. Activated carbon from coconut shell and zeolite, up to 2.7 kg, with part of the carbon impregnated with potassium iodide: VOCs, formaldehyde, benzene, ammonia, odors and gases.
  4. Medical-grade HEPA, about 2.8 m²: fine particles such as PM2.5, allergens, bacteria and aerosolized particles.

Maintenance, warranty and what's in the box

  • Filter: up to 5 years in typical home use; in heavily contaminated environments it may need replacing sooner.
  • Pre-filter: vacuum it once a month without removing it, using the soft brush attachment (more often with pets).
  • Placement: on the floor, at least 10 cm from walls, with the top grille unobstructed. Continuous use is recommended on low or medium speed, increasing it for strong odors.
  • Legal warranty 2 years (24 months) under the Italian Consumer Code.
  • Commercial mechanical warranty 3 years against material and manufacturing defects, automatic from delivery: product registration is not a condition, it is a recommended service. Details on the Warranty & Support page.
  • The mechanical warranty does not cover filters. Defects attributable to the use of non-original spare parts are not covered, and the commercial extension to 36 months is subject to the use of original Austin Air spare parts.

Right of Withdrawal Notice: As this is an air purifier, the consumer is entitled to a brief functional test (power-on and control verification). Prolonged use causes immediate contamination of the filters with particles, allergens and pollutants: in that case the customer is responsible for the diminution in value of the goods (Art. 57, paragraph 2, Consumer Code) and the refund is reduced accordingly. Frequently asked questions

Difference between HealthMate Plus and HealthMate Plus Junior?
Both use a 4-stage filter (pre-filters + carbon and zeolite + True HEPA) and carbon impregnated with potassium iodide (KI). The Plus Junior is optimized for smaller spaces, up to about 40 m²: ~2.8 m² of True HEPA and up to 2.7 kg (6 lb) of carbon and zeolite. The standard model covers up to 80 m² with ~5.6 m² of HEPA and up to 6.8 kg of carbon and zeolite.
Plus Junior or Junior?
What changes is the type of adsorbent media, not the quantity: both carry up to 2.7 kg of activated carbon and zeolite. This model has part of its carbon impregnated with potassium iodide, suited to intense odors and VOCs such as formaldehyde; the HealthMate Junior® uses non-impregnated media.
Is it available with casters?
Yes: on request it is available with 4 factory-fitted casters. Just choose the With wheels option when ordering.
